Channel your inner lumberjack. Professional lanes, certified instructors and that deeply satisfying thunk of steel hitting wood. From total beginners to tournament competitors — everyone leaves wanting more.
CipherX Delta's axe throwing lanes are professional-grade regulation and run by certified instructors who've taught everyone from complete beginners to competitive league players. You'll learn proper technique in minutes, then spend the rest of your session racking up bullseyes, competing in mini-tournaments and enjoying the primal satisfaction of throwing a sharp object at a target. No experience necessary — and no upper body strength either, it turns out.
Your certified instructor covers the golden rules of axe throwing safety. It takes about 10 minutes and is genuinely interesting — axes have been thrown for centuries.
You'll learn the one-hand and two-hand throwing technique. Most people land their first axe on the target within 5 throws. The learning curve is fast and fun.
Free-throw practice rounds to get consistent. Your instructor gives individual tips to each thrower. Scores aren't tracked yet — just develop that muscle memory.
The competitive phase begins. Custom brackets, head-to-head throws and the Big Axe throw decide the champion. Every player gets equal turns.
The champion is announced with full ceremony. Photos are taken, trash talk is welcomed and rematches are scheduled.
Axe throwing is all about releasing at the same point every throw. Focus on a consistent overhead release rather than trying to add power.
Required for safety. No sandals, no open toes. Trainers or boots are ideal.
Axes don't need force — they need rotation. A smooth, controlled throw beats a powerful, wild one every single time.
Most axes drop slightly as they rotate. Aim a few inches above your target and let gravity do the work.
Group energy transforms axe throwing from a skill exercise into a proper event. The hype from teammates genuinely improves performance.
Once you're consistent, ask your instructor about specialty throws — the Big Axe, no-spin throws and the underhand toss are all available.
Absolutely not. The vast majority of our customers have never thrown an axe before. Our certified instructors have taught thousands of first-timers and will have you hitting the target within your first few throws.
When done correctly, axe throwing is a very safe activity. Safety protocols are strict and our instructors enforce them consistently. All participants are briefed before throwing begins.
Players must be 13 years or older. Anyone under 18 requires a signed parental consent form. Parental presence during the session is welcome.
